LABORATORY SURVEILLANCE OF SARS-COV-2 IN 14TH WEEK
The Virology Laboratory, National Influenza Center, National Center for Communicable Diseases, Mongolia has tested 984 specimens collected from persons with a history of recent travel in China or other COVID-19 affected areas or persons close contact with confirmed COVID-19 patients and 118 samples from patients with ILI and SARI in influenza sentinel surveillance sites between 05 April to 30 March, 2020 (14th week).

The laboratory test performed by rt RT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 detection for all specimens and positivity rate was 3(0.3%).

Influenza and other respiratory pathogens detection was performed by multiplex rt PCR for the 118(10.7%) samples which collected from influenza sentinel sites. There were 19(16.1%) specimens were positive for any respiratory pathogens. Of those were 2(10.5%) FluA, 11(57.9%) Rhinovirus, 3(15.8%) Adenovirus, 2(10.5%) Bocavirus and 1(5.3%) RSV respectively.
