LABORATORY SURVEILLANCE OF SARS-COV-2 IN 13TH WEEK
The Virology Laboratory, National Influenza Center, National Center for Communicable Diseases, Mongolia has tested 665 specimens collected from persons with a history of recent travel in China or other COVID-19 affected areas or persons close contact with confirmed COVID-19 patients and 80 samples from patients with ILI and SARI in influenza sentinel surveillance sites between 23 to 29 March, 2020 (13th week).

The laboratory test performed by rt RT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 detection for all specimens and positivity rate was 2(0.3%). Influenza and other respiratory pathogens detection was performed by multiplex rt PCR for the 80 samples from influenza sentinel sites. There were 23(28,75%) specimens were positive for any respiratory pathogens. Of those were 3(13%) FluB, 14(61%) Rhinovirus, 2(8.7%) RSV, 2(8.7%) Adenovirus, 1(4.3%) Seasonal CoV’s and 1(4.3%) Parainfluenzavirus’s respectively.
