Training to identify influenza viruses by micro-neutralization assay for laboratory specialists in Virology Laboratory, NCCD
The training held on from 22 July to 03 August, 2019 in Virology Laboratory, NIC, NCCD. The training objective was learn how to use micro-neutralization assay for antigenic characterization of seasonal A(H3N2) viruses which do not bind well to red blood cells. Therefore Virology Laboratory, NIC is required to introduce micro-neutralization tests for antigenic characterization of influenza A(H3N2) viruses circulating in Mongolia.

The 11 participants from Virology Laboratory, NCCD were attended in the training. The on job training was conducted by PhD Nakamura Kazu from Influenza Virus Research Center, NIID, WHO Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research on Influenza, Tokyo, Japan.
