During the first epidemiological week (July 03-09), total of 48 nasopharyngeal swabs were collected at sentinel influenza surveillance sites located in the capital (National Center for Communicable Diseases). These samples were analyzed by RT-PCR assay for the presence of influenza viruses and viruses were not detected.

From the multiplex RT-PCR analysis of respiratory pathogens. As for the result Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Rhinovirus and MPV were detected in 1 sample (5.9%), 1 sample (5.9%), 3 samples (17.6%) and 3 samples (17.6%) respectively.

For SARS-CoV-2 surveillance, RT-PCR was performed on 48 specimens collected from the general population and travelers abroad. SARS-CoV-2 virus was detected in 1 sample (positive rate was 2.1%).
