During the first epidemiological week (June 26-July 02), total of 149 nasopharyngeal swabs were collected at sentinel influenza surveillance sites located in the capital (National Center for Communicable Diseases), western region (Gobi-Altai province). These samples were analyzed by RT-PCR assay for the presence of influenza viruses and viruses were not detected.

From the multiplex RT-PCR analysis of respiratory pathogens. As for the result Adenovirus, RSV, Rhinovirus and MPV were detected in 4 samples (13.8%), 2 samples (6.9%), 10 samples (34.5%) and 3 samples (10.3%) respectively.

For SARS-CoV-2 surveillance, RT-PCR was performed on 151 specimens collected from the general population and travelers abroad. SARS-CoV-2 virus was detected in 7 samples (positive rate was 4.6%).
