The Laboratory Department, National Center for Communicable Diseases, Ulaanbaatar city, Hovd aimag, Darkhan aimag and Dornogobi aimag Zamiin-uud of Mongolia has tested 1833 specimens collected from persons with history travel in other COVID-19 affected countries or persons close contact with confirmed COVID-19 patients and 58 samples from patients with ILI and SARI in influenza sentinel surveillance sites between 5-11 Sep 2022 (36th week).

The laboratory test performed by rtRT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 detection for all specimens and positivity rate was 88(4.8%).

Influenza and other respiratory pathogens detection were performed by multiplex rtRT-PCR for the 58(3.2%) samples from influenza sentinel sites. Thepositivity rate was 1(1.7%) Entervirus, 4(6.9%) SARS-CoV-2 respectively.
