The Laboratory Department, National Center for Communicable Diseases, Uvs aimag, Dundgovi aimag, Zavkhan aimag, Svkhbaatar aimag Arkhangai aimag, Umnogovi aimag, Hovd aimag, Dornod aimag, Darkhan aimag, Selenge aimag and Dornogobi aimag Zamiin-uud of Mongolia has tested 1836 specimens collected from persons with history travel in other COVID-19 affected countries or persons close contact with confirmed COVID-19 patients and 201 samples from patients with ILI and SARI in influenza sentinel surveillance sites between 23 May-29 May 2022 (21th week).

The laboratory test performed by rtRT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 detection for all specimens and positivity rate was 126(6.8%).

Influenza and other respiratory pathogens detection were performed by multiplex rtRT-PCR for the 201 samples from influenza sentinel sites. Thepositivity rate was 5(4.3%) SARS-CoV-2, 7(3.4%) Bocavirus, 4(1.9%) Rhinovirus, 2(0.9%) sCoV, 2(0.9%) Parainfluenza, 4(1.6%) Adenovirus, 10(4.9%) HumanMetapneumo virus, 2(0.9%) Entervirus and 2(0.9%) RSV respectively
